Thank you for your interest in our Lymphedema treatment facility.  The Journal, "Lymphology" (official paper of the International Society of Lymphology) wrote in the March 1994 issue that "...Lymphedema of the extremities even in the most advanced stages can be remedied with remarkable consistency," a statement with which we fully agree.

Appointments:

Consultation appointments are available with Peter Glasser at our facilities. Treatment appointments are scheduled in advance, or after the patient's initial consultation. Treatments consist of one treatment per day. Depending upon the severity of the condition, treatments may last from one to four weeks. 
A non-refundable deposit of $200.00 is required when scheduling treatment appointments. A certified check or money order is required and will be applied towards treatments. If treatment appointments are cancelled, the $200.00 is forfeited.

Fee Schedule:

DUE TO CHANGES IN INSURANCE COVERAGE, WE WILL NO LONGER BE ABLE TO ACCEPT ANY INSURANCE. WE CAN PROVIDE THE APPROPRIATE RECEIPTS FOR YOU TO FILE FOR INSURANCE COVERAGE ON YOUR OWN.
CASH RATES: $65.00 PER HOUR WITH A SLIDING SCALE AVAILABLE BASED UPON FINANCIAL NEED.
Payment is expected at the time of services: cash, money order, credit cards. No checks, please.

The cost for treatment does not include medical compression garments, compression bandages, Reid Sleeve's, CirAid's, and supplies for the patient's home maintenance program.  

Patients will be required to purchase compression garments at the end of the initial treatment program. Compression garments start at about $50.00, depending upon garments needed.

There may be a waiting time for treatments. It is best to make arrangements as soon as possible.

Accommodations:

The treatments are on an out-patient procedure. Patients either commute from their homes, or stay at one of several motels, bed and breakfast, camp grounds in the area, or accommodations can be arranged at the beautiful Lewis Rathbun Wellness Center in Asheville. There is no fee required, but a donation is welcome by those who can afford one. Please inquire for information on accommodations, if you need it.
